EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT

  • 1993-1998 – MA studies, Institute of Archaeology, University of Warsaw (dissertation Great Colonnade of Palmyra)
  • 1998-2002 – PhD studies, Faculty of History, University of Warsaw (dissertation: Urban development of Palmyra in the Roman period)
  • from April 2003 – employed in the Institute of Archaeology, University of Warsaw  as a lecturer
  • 2005-2008 – BA studies in the Department of Sinology, Faculty of Oriental Research, University of Warsaw (dissertation: Rome through the eyes of Chinese historians of pre-Tang era)
  • From 2010 – PhD studies in the Faculty of Oriental Research, University of Warsaw (PhD thesis in preparation: Jin silks with auspicious inscriptions in Han-Sui period.)

 

PARTICIPATION IN ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH PROJECTS:

  • 1995-2009 Palmyra (Syria) Polish archaeological research on relics of Roman, Byzantine and Early-Islamic city
  • 1996 Chhim (Lebanon) - Polish archaeological research in the roman and byzantine village, roman temple and Christian basilica with mosaics
  • 1999 – 2000 Hawarte (Syria) - Polish archaeological research in ancient temple of Mithra
  • 1999 – Khirbet ed-Darih (Jordan) - French archaeological research in Nabatean temple and Roman, Byzantine and Elary-Islamic village.
  • 2002 – Aleksandria (Egypt) Polish archaeological research in Roman and Byzantine city
  • 2011 – Karpathos (Greece - Dodecanese) archaeological prospection performed by Greek archaeological team from University of Kommodini
